The NRSC Recreational and Bears Academy are fun community-based soccer programs that focus on player development. These are learning leagues; Everyone is still learning from players to the referees to the coaches & high schoolers who assist, and even some of the parents are learning how to be soccer spectators. Everyone is still learning. We try to always keep that in mind while also supporting the competitive spirit of the game. Winning in a competitive game can be important, it just isn’t the most important thing in our programs. Our goal is to always have a supportive, respectful, developmental environment where our players can thrive grow and yes, learn.

Our season runs Aug-May like the school calendar. Registration in the Fall is for BOTH the Fall and Spring halves of the Seasons.
The Fall half normally starts around mid-Aug and runs through the end of Oct. The Spring half runs from the end of March through Soccer Days at the end of May (more Soccer Days Info on our Camps & Events Page)

Bears Academy is broken into Under 5 (U5) and Under 6 (U6) age groups. They normally meet on Sat at Lucille Heasley Soccer Field (Heasley), our home field, for a 1-hour session. Those sessions will typically include a combination of small-sided activities and gameplay.

Our Rec league teams are broken into age groups from U8 thru U14. They have one weeknight practice a week with games normally on Sat at Heasley. Practice times and locations are selected by our volunteer coaches once the teams are formed each season.
